![]() Just going to chime in here and say the "numlock" trick as it's been called has been around for awhile. You are punishing some very loyal gamers and fans who are far from being a cheater or ever having the intention of wanting to cheat. For gods sake ban the botters and thud users and some advanced macro users but do not punish those using simple macros who have no idea that this could be against the TOS due to a misunderstanding. I also read about the steelseries mouse thing and after carefully analyzing and weighing it I believe this is something that needs to be addressed in the future. I believe in those cases a perma ban is WAY too harsh and not justified. ![]() A couple of people I spoke to were so disappointed after appealing and having their appeals overturned that they said they would never buy another Blizz game again even though they were massive fans of Blizzard and supporters in the past. They had no idea it was bannable and based on a misunderstanding and misinterpretation of words used by mods on the forums thought it was fine to use like that. I know of a few people who were banned for a very basic numlock type macro and they were shocked when banned. Of course if the macro is more advanced and automates a lot of gameplay then a perma ban may be reasonable. Give a warning first so they are made aware and at most a temp ban maybe 3 days or so. There were a few posts made by blues on the forums about this and due to the language used a lot of people misunderstood those posts and believed that certain types of macros were ok (ie similar to the numlock thing). ![]() ![]() A lot of people do not realize that the macros they are using is against the TOS and believe it to be ok. There is a lot of confusion with regards to macros. ![]()
